File Renaming

RenameStar 2.0

RenameStar

RenameStar 2.0 (last freeware version)

Man, do you ever have a lot of work ahead of you. You've collected a large number of files, perhaps thousands, that you need to rename. Maybe they're from your digital camera and have insipid names like, 'IMG_0707.' The thought of renaming each file one-by-one in Windows makes your fingers hurt. What a chore! It doesn't have to be. With RenameStar all you do is select a group of files, type in a name, and then click on a button. RenameStar does all the rest of the work, numbering each file sequentially. If a file is an image type supported by RenameStar's preview, it will be shown as a thumbnail in the lower right corner of the screen when you click on the file. If you want to see a larger preview, right click over the thumbnail.

ReNamer

ReNamer

ReNamer is a small, yet very flexible file renaming tool, that offers all the standard renaming procedures, including prefixes, suffixes, replacements, case changes, as well as remove contents of brackets, add number sequences, change file extensions, etc. For advanced users, there is a PascalScript rule, which let users program their very own renaming rule. The program allows you to combine multiple renaming actions as a rule set, applying each action in logical sequence, which can be saved, loaded and managed within the program. In addition, ReNamer supports Meta Tags, such as: ID3, EXIF, OLE, AVI, MD5, SHA1, CRC32 and more; has an ability to rename folders, can process Regular Expressions, and supports Unicode filenames.
