Spamihilator works between your Email-Client-Software and the Internet and examines every incoming eMail. Useless spam mails (Junk) will be filtered out. This process works completely in the background.

The new Learning Filter (Bayesian Filter) uses the rules of Thomas Bayes (english mathematician, 18th century) and calculates a certain Spam-Probability for every eMail. You can train this filter! So it will know your messages even better than you and continuously increase the recognition rate.

In addition Spamihilator uses a Word-Filter, that searches messages for known keywords. The program runs with almost every Email-Software, such as Outlook 2000/XP/Express, Eudora, Pegasus Mail, Phoenix Mail, Opera, Mozilla, Netscape, etc...

K9

K9 is an anti-spam email filtering application that works in conjunction with your regular POP3 email program and automatically classifies incoming emails as spam (junk email) or non-spam. The program uses intelligent statistical analysis that can result in extremely high accuracy over time and eliminates the need for maintaining dozens of rules or constant updates to be downloaded. K9 learns from what you consider to be spam and will automatically tag all future emails that match it's gathered knowledge base. You can then set up rules in your email program to delete or move the spam tagged messages.

K9 is for standard POP3 email accounts only. It does not support Hotmail, AOL or any other kind of webmail type systems, nor does it support secure authentication as used ny MSN.
